This album is incredible. At once ethereal, heavy, reflective, and aggressive. The song structures and instrumentation are engaging, creative, and unique (to me anyway.) It is, as so few albums are, fresh and refreshing.

Many bands on this compilation feature strong female members, and most songs are intense and emotive.The contrast of sonorous harmonies with dissonant intervals makes for some wicked faerie-witch vibes. Absolutely magnificent, like an archaic magick spell rediscovered in an ancient leatherbound grimoire. Purrr. This whole CD is a delight from start to finish. The zine is also quirky and fun.
